I made her a diaper changing pad clutch with a matching wipes case.
shhh don't tell but the local JoAnn fabric store went out of business and I found the above canvas fabric at 90% off!!!! I'm not cheap, just frugal...Yeehaw!!!
The elastic around the clutch was a new addition. Mine didn't have it, I just had velcro but then I was limited to how much I could put in the clutch so I decided the elastic was a better alternative. Bonus! I'll be adding an elastic to mine in the very near future.
For those of you who guffaw at the thought of someone using a changing pad, I just like to think that when Annie has a blowout at the airport (as we so pleasantly experienced on Saturday), at least I've saved you the thought of laying your sweet babies bum in her leftover ickyness since I've so nicely put that dirty bum of hers on a changing pad instead of right on the changing table :)
So cute! How did you make the wipes case?! So so cute! Wait people don't use changing pads?? GROSS! I always use one!!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea. I recently just sold my baby changing table because I have always resorted to using the floor, and what a handy (and adorable) thing to have in such a case. Looks washable too...bonus!! They will love it :)
ReplyDeleteI hope we aren't the only ones that use changing pads! I'm seriously religious about using one! Super cute Kate! Like I've said before... I wish we were neighbors!
ReplyDeleteCute quilting!
ReplyDeleteI made my SIL one of these and she loves it. I love the idea of an elastic rather than velcro. If I ever have an occasion to make another one, I will have to remember that.
