24 weeks and some cute crafties

DISCLAIMER: I KNOW I'VE POSTED A LOT ABOUT MY PREGNANCY BUT KNOW THIS: I HAVE A SWEET MOTHER AND FATHER WHO LIVE ABOUT 14 HOURS AWAY, AND 4 BROTHERS IN 3 DIFFERENT STATES WHO DON'T GET TO SHARE THESE EXCITING EVENTS WITH ME IN PERSON. THIS IS THE BEST I CAN DO FOR THEM SO IF IT BUGS YOU, I APOLOGIZE BUT KNOW THIS...I STILL HAVE 16 WEEKS TO GO :) SO GET USED TO IT

So I've hit 24 weeks today. 16 more to go! Ughh that feels like forever. I just have to keep reminding myself that the further I go, the better the baby is. I just wish those 16 weeks would just fly by! It just seems as though they have just drug on since 20 weeks.
The oh so welcomed heartburn (blegh) has made it's way into my life. And Tums just aren't doing it for me. Anyone out there with some good suggestions? Milk helps but only while your drinking it. I broke down and bought a milkshake the other day and sipped on it at work and that seemed to help but it's not the option I want if I want to keep my weight gain at a reasonable level.

24 weeks in all my double chin gloriousness ;)

It's getting harder and harder to get out of bed, and off the couch, and out of the car these days and all I can think about is the fact that I've still got 16 weeks to go. I only have about 3 inches until my belly hits the steering wheel in my car. That most definitely doesn't work since I drive a stick shift and need to be able to push the clutch in all the way! I'm not quite sure how I'll handle that one yet.
On to good news! The last doctor's checkup was great. Baby girls heartbeat is still strong, and measurements look good. She's getting stronger and stronger everyday. I swear just the other day I was looking at my belly and I actually saw it move (maybe I just wanted to). I was laying on the couch last night and she was kicking and moving hard enough that I could feel it with my hand. I swear sometimes she kicks the back of my belly button so hard that it's just going to make it pop out!

How can I resist buying cute little onesies...especially when they come with cute little skirts!

Seriously! How do people help themselves...this one comes with matching undies :)

My personal favorite! I'm going to make a cute curly-cue ribbon bow to go with this one for the 4th of July!!!!!!

And let's be honest for a minute. How can you resist popping out a few of these when you've just been told you're having a girl? Jared thinks I've gone overboard...I have about 5 gerber daisies (not pictured) that I've done too....on to bows!!!

This is a sneak peak of what her quilt will look like. I decided that since I have the skill (or at least I think I do), that I would make her a special quilt just from her mommy. I can't wait until I'm done with it!!!!

  1. if your heartburn gets bad I know that there is a prescription that they can give you...I can't remember exactly which one it is, but it helped me a lot! I want to say prozac but that is obviously NOT it.,,, Pepcid!! that's it!

  3. Keep the preggo updates coming. I love reading them! The heartburn is so nasty; unfortunately it only gets worse. 150mg of Zantac are a part of my daily pill dosage these days. Its over the counter and seems to do the trick most of the time. Its expensive, but there is a generic brand that works just fine. P.S. Teach me how to make cute flowers, my little girl is currently lacking accessories.

  4. When I was in the hospital with my boys the nurses told me to eat Wendy's Frosties to increase my milk production, so don't feel too guilty about eating those because they help the baby, right?

  5. I am so excited for you. Dont feel guilty eating shakes etc. For your sanity of heart burn just do it lol. What cute flowers. I make each kid a blanket too. Just something special from me to them. The older two got fleece. This time I went to Hobby Lobby (since we have one around now and not with the other two)I made a quilt and fleece. They each have two I made. Again congrats. And if people get bothered about you posting about pregnancy let them deal with it. It's your blog post what you want :)
