So a little bit of background. I came home one day and Jared had bought a gun. Now, I don't mind going up into the canyon a couple times during the summer and shooting a 22 rifle but he had bought a hand revolver. For those who have never shot one of those, don't let their size fool you, not even ear plugs can save you from that blast. This was the best part, I kept bugging him asking why he had even bought the gun until he gave it away. HE BOUGHT IT FOR ME FOR MY BIRTHDAY. I about fell over, not from excitement. He's such a goof.
Anyway, he told me about how he wanted to refinish the handle on the gun and well as long as he's not bored and unhappy at the end of the day, whatever. I don't have a before picture of the gun but it was actually pretty drastic of a change.
if you blow up the picture you can see how beautiful the grains in the wood are. He even re-blued the metal!
And this is the final result....all smiles. And if you can't tell, he's spinning the gun on his finger...such a kid!
I won't show this to Brad, he would be so jealous that you have a gun and he doesn't! He's been wanting one for a while now and I'm not so sure about it. Plus the fact that it's really hard for "Resident Aliens" to get a permit!
