Ok so it's been 6 months since I was laid off from my job in Salt Lake and I've been looking for work ever since. I'm not going to lie, I didn't try very hard at first because, let's be honest, who really likes working full time. Well I didn't and I really didn't like being a software engineer. Yeah the pay was fantastic but the people just weren't my "cup of tea". Please don't take offense if you're an engineer, it just isn't my style.
So finally about 2 weeks ago a job listing came up in Kaysville for an office administrator. I applied thinking not much would come from it. In the last couple of weeks I had been praying that I would have the drive to "seriously" look and try to get a job and that when the right one came along, the people hiring would feel inclined to call me in for an interview. This has been really hard because I've decided at pretty much the worst time to change professions. For the last two years I've been a programmer and I'd rather be in an administrative field...it's what I do best.
So as I did with most of the jobs I applied for, I followed up on the previous week's applications and to my great surprise I immediately received an email inviting me in for an interview. Two days later and I was offered the job!!!! I couldn't believe it. When I went in for my first day everyone was so friendly and nice and the job is EXACTLY what I was looking for! My prayers had truly been answered.
Though I will DEARLY miss my carefree days spent mostly in my craft room making things, Jared is much more relieved and we can rest easy now that we have a solid source of income again.
Thank you to all that had us in your prayers!!!!

So happy you found a job you'll be happy at. It is very sad that you won't be able to craft as much, but then, I guess that's the sad reality we live in huh? At least you got six months to craft away. I think that's pretty lucky:)
