20 weeks and my favorite new pronoun

Today was the 20 week ultrasound and I have a little secret :) I've known what our baby is for about a week because at our last ultrasound our AWESOME doctor offered us a quick ultrasound free of charge since I was without insurance for the month of January. I would have posted about it sooner but I was just afraid this sweet little baby GIRL!!!!!! would turn into a little baby boy. I have NOTHING against boys, it's just that girls come very rarely to the Griffin family so I was ecstatic when I found out "it" was a "she"!

I think deep down Heavenly Father knew I how much I needed a girl so I can have the kind of relationship with her as I do with my Mum...not to mention my ultimate need to craft cute girly things. BRING ON THE HAIR BOWS, FLOWERS, SKIRTS, AND OH SO MUCH PINK!

If you're having a hard time deciphering this one, you're not along. The word "GIRL" is on top of her right leg. It looks kind of like a "C". Her little bum is on the left.

Cute little foot!!! This was my favorite shot!

We also got some great video of the ultrasound. She was SO SO SO active. For about a week now I feel her moving around every day. She's started to react when I sing and when I touch my stomach. Jared keeps trying to see if he can feel her move yet but so far he "thinks" he's felt her once but I wasn't paying attention so we don't know for sure ;) She even started to roll around during the ultrasound, I'm so in love!
The technician guessed that based on her measurements she weighs about 10 oz. Such a wee little one. I expect her to be small only because her mother will most likely pass on some miniature genes of her own ;)

I tried to post the video but it was taking a lifetime to load and I don't have a lifetime to wait for it. So maybe on a night when I feel like messing around with the video I'll just post some clips. In the mean time, I'm going to be working on the nursery. I can't wait until that one's finished for a "big" reveal :)

Yay for little girls!!
