Mother's Day...

...was in May and it's currently the middle of July... So I'm behind. Just bear with me as I play catch of over the next few posts...

For Mother's day, I wanted to have Annie be a part of it. Since my husband most definitely lacks in the crafty/unique/thoughtful gift ideas, I took over for our Moms.

Here's what I came up with (each had a gift card attached to the back):

Annie was funny about making these. She wasn't thrilled about putting her hands in the paint and INSISTED I painted it on her hands. I was impressed though, it only took 3 tries to get 2 good hand prints.

Miracle of Life!

Or maybe just a miracle!

As some of you know, I've been struggling with PCOS for quite some time. I always knew it would be hard for me to get pregnant but really?!?! I didn't think 2 1/2 years was really necessary.
Well I'm proud to announce that we've broken the streak! Around June 23rd we'll be expecting our first little bundle of joy. I'm about 14 1/2 (yes we count the halves) weeks along right now so it's about the size of a lemon. We're SOOOO excited and I can't wait for the coming months.

Since I had 2 1/2 years to think about how I would announce this to my family, I came up with this CUTE card that I conveniently sent to my Dad while I was with my Mum in Boise.

If you click on the card you can read the message that I wrote in it. It was really early on so I didn't have an actual due date yet. And even though I said I would wait until Christmas to tell my family, honestly, who would have expected me to wait that long.

Here is the first ultra sound. This was at 10 weeks so it's about the size of a grape. But on the left side of the white blob right about where the plus sign is you can see two little white lines...LEGS!!! And seeing our babies heartbeat flutter for the first time! Such a blessing. The doctor said it's heartbeat was really good and gave us a 3-4% chance of miscarriage. Such a relief!

We ended up telling my family through skype on Thanksgiving. It was so fun to show them the ultrasound and hear everyone start to yell and freak out. I can't wait to see what our little lemon turns out to be!

Card Swap Group!

I recently tried to start a card swap group in my ward and there just weren't that many people interested. A lady in my ward approached me about a group that she's already in and said I'm welcome to come. So this month I went. The theme was wedding cards (or whatever you want). This is what I came home with!
LinkFor a closer look at the cards go here. I took individual pictures of them and posted them on my other blog.
